Democrats Want Iraq Pullout by Fall 2008

WASHINGTON (AP) --
In a direct challenge to President Bush, House Democrats unveiled legislation
Thursday requiring the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraq by the fall of
next year.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the deadline would be added to
legislation providing nearly $100 billion the Bush administration has requested
for fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan...........

The Dems are trying real hard for a replay of 1975. After Congress cut off funding for South Viet Nam in 1974, the country fell, the much-ridiculed Domino Theory played out as largely correct, great numbers of innocents were slaughtered, and our military was ham-strung for years. Those same people and their fellow travelers are once again working to destroy America's role as a world power and beacon of freedom.

Announcing a departure emboldens our enemies, guides their strategy, and shouts to the world that America lacks resolve. Our islamic enemies will know that they need only wait until Fall '08 to continue their relentless drive toward worldwide domination.
